Every year, WrestleMania comes and goes. Ever year, the pinnalce of the top dog in the wrestling world comes and goes. Each year, the fans' hopes and dreams of feuds, matches, and finishes come and go. Every year, those dreams and hopes get left behind.

In 2005, TWV decided to change that with the WrestleMania Dream Series. Started on January 1, 2005, the WrestleMania Dream Series began at TWV, led by forum moderator Jeremy Haldeman, in order to give fans a WrestleMania card they wanted. They had hoped for. They had dreamed for. This interactive session was then brought back in 2006 for WrestleMania 22!

For twelve weeks, visitors of the The Wrestling Asylum forums took part in nominating matches in hopes that they would be put on the final WrestleMania card by the fans and for the fans. Jeremy Haldeman started each week by placing which kind of match it would be. The following schedule was followed:

Week 1: World Heavyweight Championship
Week 2: Non-Title Match (SmackDown!)
Week 3: WWE Championship
Week 4: World Tag Team Championship
Week 5: Non-Title Match (RAW)
Week 6: WWE United States Championship
Week 7: WWE Women's Championship
Week 8: Non-Title Match (SmackDown!)
Week 9: WWE Tag Team Champoinship
Week 10: WWE Intercontinental Championship
Week 11: Non-Title Match (RAW) March 20th
Week 12: WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Each week from Monday until Friday, members would flock to the forums to place what they thought was the best match for each situation, regardless of brand (Raw or SmackDown!). On Saturday and Sunday of the week, members came back to vote on which they thought the best matches were. Participants of the contest were asked to rank the top three matches in order from one to three with one being the highest and two being the lowest. Participants were also only allowed to nominate their match in the number two or three slots, not number one. At the end of each week, TWV added yet another "dream" match to the card until we were left with this:
