As long as there has been wrestling, fans have been always wondering and talking about just what would be the perfect roster. In an age full of so many fans and varied rosters, such wondering and talking has never been higher. Finally, forum moderator Jeremey Haldeman decided to put an end to all the specualtion and create an Ultimate Roster voted upon by the members of The Wrestling Asylum forums.
Fifty superstars would comprise the roster with the roster being split into six different categories:
Ten Main Eventers
Ten Mid-Carders
Eight Cruiserweights
Four Tag Teams
Eight Women/Divas
Six Staff/Managers
To come up with that list of fifty, a schedule of twelve weeks was drawn up with two weeks being given to each category (and done in the order listed above). The first of the two weeks would be for nominating which is done in a unique way. Jeremy Haldeman would start by posting ten matches with twenty superstars. The next voter would then vote who he thinks should be in the Ultimate Roster and then post his own ten matches. This order would go on for as long as people would be voting, and after the last vote, Jeremy Haldeman would pick his winners of the matches above (since he posted no winners in his first vote) thus evening it all out.
After that is completed, the twenty most chosen winners (wrestlers picked the most) would then advance to the voting week. In the voting week, a random selection of pair-ups would be designated with polls being put up for each match. Voters would then vote in each of the ten matches and pick who they think should be in it. At the end of that week, that division would be completed! At the end of every two weeks, TWV added yet another section of the ultimate roster until we were left with this:
