Wrestler Mike Awesome (real name Michael Alfonso) passed away on the night of February 17, 2007 due to sad & unfortunate circumstances. A world renowned wrestler, he made his name in places like FMW & ECW due to his high impact style of power wrestling which was shown through his extensive feud with Masato Tanaka that spanned three years, two continents, & three promotions and is still rated highly among fans. Alfonso retired from pro wrestling in February, 2006 and began a quiet real estate career, but fans will still remember him for his style of wrestling & his high profile position in WCW, ECW, & WWF's "Invasion." He was only 42 years old at the time of his death and is survived by his wife Delisa and children Casey & Carissa. Here, TWV pays tribute to Mike Awesome, a power wrestler that will no doubt be emulated for years to come.
