Legendary wrestler John Tenta passed away sadly on June 7, 2006 after a long battle with bladder cancer. Most commonly known for his run in the WWF as the Canadian Earthquake and then later on simply Earthquake, Tenta made his name as a monster heel going against such big names as Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, and others. A former WWF World Tag Team Champion, he applied his craft not just in WWF, but also in Japan, Canada, and other American promotions like WCW. Though he was out of the public eye in the years before his death, many fans can not think back to the early 1980s and late 1990s without seeing Tenta's big face full of excitement and charisma for the audience. He was 42 and is survived by his wife and three children. Here, TWV pays tribute to John Tenta, a great wrestler and even greater man.
