TheWrestlingVoice.com Presents The TWV Wrestling Hall Of Fame!
In the fall of each year, visitors of TWV will vote & induct 5 male workers, 2 tag teams, 2 personalities/promoters, & 1 female worker as well as 2 matches into the Hall Of Fame. The following information describes the process through which people are picked, voted upon, and ultimately inducted.
A board of five TWV staff members will come together and choose a ballot of 15 male workers, 6 tag teams, 6 personalities/promoters, & 3 female workers as well as 6 matches starting in 2007 to be voted upon by wrestling fans worldwide. Those voted to the ballot must have debuted as either a worker, tag team, or personality/promoter in the last twenty years to be eligible for the Hall Of Fame or took place at least twenty years before in regards to matches. Each board member makes their own ballot and the average of the five ballots (with the board voting on ties) becomes the official ballot for that year's Hall Of Fame.
On the 1st or 15th of September or October, the ballot will be placed up publically so that everyone may vote. Voters must pick 10 male workers, 4 tag teams, 4 personalities/promoters, & 2 female workers as well as 4 matches from that ballot and voters may only vote once. Links to information on each nominee will be available by clicking on the nominee's name. For the matches, TWV offers the option of voters downloading and watching the matches as well. Voting will stay open for a full thirty days either closing on the 30th (of the same month) or 15th (of the following month), depending on when voting began.
After voting is concluded, the board will count all the votes over a period of one to five days and shortly afterwards, they will announce the induction class of that year. Of the 30 people on the ballot & 20 that voters picked, the 5 male workers, 2 tag teams, 2 personalities/promoters, & 1 female worker as well as 2 matches with the most votes will be inducted into the TWV Wrestling Hall Of Fame. In the event of a tie, the board will vote on who is inducted.
This is a completely innovative and interactive process and the only Hall Of Fame out there that can be voted upon by you the fans!
