Column Of The Month is a feature on TWV that was established in its second month of existence. Each week, Douglas Nunnally picks the best column of the past week and places it into the Columns Spotlight on the main page. At the end of the month, all the columns that were placed in the spotlight are put in a poll on the side of the page and voted on by the public for Column Of The Month. Click on any of the past winners below to read the excellent work that won the special COTM award. For information on TWV's Column Of The Year, make sure to click here.

Interesting Facts:
For the first two years of TWV, it was deemed that a columnist may only receive one COTM per year and thus could not be nominated after he/she wins one until the next TWV year. In the third year, this rule was altered to one COTM per four months.
Due to site inactivity, April 2007 through February 2008's COTMs were voted upon by a panel of ten former & current staff members.
Adam Perez was the first ever staff member of TWV and the first ever winner of the COTM award.
Jonathan Brown was the first winner to receive more than 50% of the vote. Since then, only David Landons has received more than half the votes.
Matt Green was the first "Guest" columnist on TWV to be promoted to "Main Site" columnist and then win the COTM award. Double A followed the next month with the same feat.
Jonathan Brown & David Landons currently hold the record for biggest percentage of the vote with 53%. Jonathan Brown achieved this feat in June 2005 while David Landons repeated it later that year in September.
Joe Pritchett holds the record for most nominations before winning COTM at six.
The closet COTM poll was in February 2006 (won by Jules McPherson) and featured only a difference of eight votes between first and last place.
Jonathan Brown, Mitchell Gadd, The Butcher, Jules McPherson, Ben Acheampong, Lee Vox, Lana Cooper, & David Landons have all won COTM two times in their TWV careers with Jonathan Brown being the first. Tim Wronka, Vinny Truncellito, & Stuart Black have each won the award three times with Tim Wronka being the first.
Each winner receives one of the following banners in his/her columns section, but due to size constraints, only the most recent award will be displayed:
