Have you ever wanted to write a wrestling column? Well, this is the place for you! At The Wrestling Voice Guest Columns section, anyone and everyone can submit a column to be posted for all to see. That means you!
How? It's easy!
All you need to do is write a column and e-mail it to guests@thewrestlingvoice.com with the column in the e-mail as well as your real name (no aliases or forum names please). Please do not attach the column either; just place it in the e-mail. All columns submitted will be posted on this site granted you adhere to these five, simple rules:
1. All columns must be at least a page and a half long. No double spaced. No big fonts. This is very self-explanatory. If I copy your column into Microsoft Word or another word processor and it is not at least a page and a half long, I will not post it here. Alternatively, there is no limit on how long a column may be.
2. All columns must be your own work. This shouldn't even be a rule, but if you submit a column that is not your own, not only will I not post your column, but I will forward your information to the columnist whose work you plagiarized.
3. Columns must be about wrestling. If you wish to talk about something else in your column for a paragraph or two, you may, but your column must be mostly wrestling discussion. This is a wrestling site after all.
4. Keep profanity to a minimum. While you are allowed to curse/swear in your columns, please use some discretion and common sense. Many young fans do visit this site.
5. You may not attack any wrestling columnist in your column. This is an all columns site so please have some respect.
If you can follow those five very simple rules, then you will have your column posted here on The Wrestling Voice in our Guest Columns section. It is that easy!
All columns submitted to The Wrestling Voice will be edited for spelling and grammar, and may be formatted in a different manner than originally intended. If this turns into an issue for you, please e-mail guests@thewrestlingvoice.com and the issue will be fixed or your column will be taken down.
If you have submitted over ten columns, you will be given your own posting account for The Wrestling Voice so that you may post the columns yourself and cut-out the middle-man. Not everyone will be given a posting account though and if a situation arises were there are too many posting accounts, the number of columns may be increased.
Writing for the Guest Columnists section does not mean you work for The Wrestling Voice. We have a full staff of main page columnists which you can find by clicking here. If you would wish to join this staff of columnists, simply fill out an application which you can find here. If you are turned down in your application, simply keep sending in your columns to TWV and know that we watch every guest columnist closely for improvement.
Those who send in their columns for the Guest Columns section are also encouraged to post their work at the Columns Forum (to access, click here) on TheWrestlingAsylum.com, the official forums of The Wrestling Voice. Doing so will give you a bigger chance to get reader feedback on your work as well as helpful advice from TWV's staff of columnists.
If you have any other questions or concerns on submitting a column for TWV's Guest Columns section, please e-mail guests@thewrestlingvoice.com.
On behalf of everyone on TWV, we hope to see your column here very soon!
