Total Nonstop Attitude

TNA is considered the new rising phoenix in the world of Wrestling with there more high risk style and 6 Sided ring they are trying there hardest to be as they claim “The New Face Of Professional Wrestling”. TNA have a loyal fan base who tune in weekly to catch Impact (which will be getting a new Primetime Slot on Thursday Night on Spike TV) but are TNA's own fans undermining there talent?.

You may be asking yourself what does he mean? Let me explain Wrestling is made up of Good Guys & Bad Guys aka. Heels & Faces to all you smarks out there with the story generally being a simple morality play of good vs. evil this is where the problem is with TNA there are no heels. Samoa Joe is being pushed as TNA's monster heel and undefeated up until this point but does he generate heel heat? No when Joe decided to lay Daniels out with a chair rather then boo TNA's fans chanted “Kill Him Joe” & “This Is Awesome” and this quite frankly looks really bad on TV & makes Joe look like he isn't doing his job properly.

Many TNA fans will argue that it's just because TNA fans are smarter which imo is quite ridiculous ECW's fans where supposedly of this same smart breed but ECW still had heels in fact some of there best wrestlers drew some of the biggest heat from these very same fans. Some fans will argue that you don't need heels and faces but I strongly disagree simply because without heels & faces wrestling is basically just two guys jumping around in there underwear because as much as I hate to say this wrestling is not a real sport so this makes heels and faces almost a necessity and if you can point out a promotion in history that had no heels and faces I will take my hat off to you.

And to explain the reason further why wrestling needs heels and faces is simply because of this heels and faces draw in human interest just like in movies just like in theater the human interest lies in good vs. evil and unless TNA starts making some really credible heels other than Jeff Jarrett they are truly gonna struggle to go head to head with WWE because they lack the human interest.

Now onto a completely different subject it has been reported that Austin Aries & Roderick Strong will be removed from at least the next several TNA Television Taping Bookings due not flying in a day early for the PPV due to a blizzard or as they put it for willingly putting themselves in a position where they could have missed the Against All Odds PPV this past weekend, despite orders to skip a Ring of Honor event to travel to Florida.

Now I have a huge problem with this simply because they made the booking they didn't miss it, TNA put Aries & Strong in a position where it was lose either way as they have a duty to fulfill there duties to ROH as they are one of the major draws as well as ROH's World Tag Team Champions if TNA expect there talent to work them without an exclusive contract they have to understand they have to fulfill there duties to other promotions it's that simple. Now if TNA wanna set an example how about firing Hardy or Waltman who have no showed on several occasions? Oh wait a minute they are major draws for TNA see it's not good when you put the show on the other foot now is it.

I would also like to congratulate Christian Cage on winning the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Although I do have one problem with this scenario (geez I'm a whinge bag today ) Upon entering TNA Christian said he had one goal and that was to win the Worlds Heavyweight Championship now he has one it first attempt mind you it leaves me with a big now what? I would have preferred they have him chase it for a few more months just to make it so when he got it seem all that more special.
I'm going to be doing a little thing over the next few weeks I'm going to countdown my top 20 Matches of all time and the end of each column starting with this one.

Match Number 20
Tully Blanchard vs. Magnum TA (I Quit Cage Match; US Championship):

Great match with a great concept not only did you have a steel cage surrounding these men but there was also the added stipulation of an I Quit match within the cage. In what would prove to be one of the greatest cage matches also managed to be a great I Quite match simply incredible and the feud leading into this match made this absolute gold.

My Rating: ****
